Directions
- In a small bowl, whisk together water, yeast, and sugar until fully combined. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, allowing the yeast to dissolve and foam starts to form
- In bowl, combine evaporated milk, egg, salt, vanilla extract, yeast mixture, butter, and flour. Mix dough. Then, transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a long rectangle, about ¾ inch thick, and cut it into squares
- In batches, fry the dough in hot oil over medium heat for about 1 minute, or until they puff up and turn golden brown
- Transfer the beignets to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!

- 3 tbsp ea Urban Meadow unsalted butter, melted
- Urban Meadow vegetable oil, ea for frying
- Urban Meadow powdered sugar, ea for topping
