Directions

  1. Peel, core, and slice your apples into ¾-inch slices. Place them in a large bowl and pour over the milk. Toss to coat then set aside
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  3. In a small bowl, combine remaining sugar and cinnamon and stir. Set aside
  4. Remove apple slices from milk, drip off excess milk, and place them into the flour mixture. Toss gently to evenly coat on all sides. Place apple slices on a large plate or tray and repeat until all the apple slices are coated in the flour mixture
  5. Add ¼ cup of oil to a medium-sized skillet on medium heat. Fry the coated apple slices on each side for 1 minute or until lightly golden. Transfer fried apple slices onto a paper towel-lined baking sheet
  6. Coat each apple slice in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy warm or cooled! Dip in cream cheese if desired!
