Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease and flour a 9” x 5” loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cumin, salt, and chili flakes in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in Cheddar cheese, green onions, and lime zest.
  4. Whisk egg, buttermilk, and Wesson Canola Oil in a small bowl.
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes, then turn loaf out onto a rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve with your favorite sliced meats and cheeses.

  • 2 1/4 cups Bread flour
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Chili flakes, optional
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 Green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lime zest
  • 1 Egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Wesson Canola Oil
